So December is looking quite quiet for new cozy games. But there is the Wholesome Snack on December 9th and the PC Gaming Showcase coming up on December 4th, so we may get some surprise releases during them!
But let's get started looking at all the cozy games launching in December, and as always there's a video version with trailers:

NEW: Pocket Gecko
Starting off strong with another one of those bottom of/corner of your screen games. In Pocket Gecko you have an adorable gecko living on a small island on your screen and you need to help them catch bugs!
There are different rarities of bugs and you can sell them all to earn money or keep them for bonuses to help make catching rarer bugs even easier. And of course you can customise your gecko by changing its colour, pattern, and shape.
Pocket Gecko is releasing on PC on December 1st.

NEW: Two Point Museum: Zooseum DLC
PC (Steam) | EGS | PlayStation | Xbox
Two Point Museum: Zooseum DLC, is a brand-new paid DLC for Two Point Museum, which includes a new museum location, a new area of the map, 40+ Wildlife Exhibits, and more!
Two Point Museum: Zooseum DLC is releasing on December 2nd on PC (Steam & EGS), PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in Q1 2026.

Viewfinder
PC | PlayStation | Xbox | Switch
Viewfinder is FINALLY coming to Nintendo Switch!
If you haven’t heard of Viewfinder, it’s a puzzle game all about shifting realities using your camera. In this mind-bending adventure, use photos that you take or pictures you find to navigate the world by changing perception and manipulating the world around you.
Any image can be brought to life and it’s up to you to work out how to use them to move deeper into this mysterious world. Can you work out the secrets of this world and find out why it exists when Viewfinder launches on the 3rd of December on Switch, and it’s already available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox!

Couple Maker
I’ve never heard of this next game before, but it was released earlier this year for free on PC and it’s now coming to Nintendo Switch! Play as a romance writer dreaming up meetcutes in Couple Maker, a puzzle game all about helping two people meet and fall in love.
Every board will have a range of characters with different ages, genders, and interests and you can pair them up whichever way you see fit. While the concept of this game seems simple, I can definitely see it getting tricker as you get later in the game, but you can find out for yourself when Couple Maker launches on Nintendo Switch on the 3rd of December.

Octopath Traveler 0
PC | PlayStation | Xbox | Switch
Next up is a game I wasn’t sure about including because it does have a fair bit of combat, but I know a lot of cozy gamers are looking forward to the new Octopath Traveler releasing!
For starters in Octopath Traveler 0 you’ll get to create your own protagonist for the first time ever - customise everything from your appearance, voice, hairstyle, and hair colour to your favourite food and skills making you the hero of the story.
They’re also adding a brand new townbuilding system, where you can rebuild your home town in your vision and invite your allies to move in!
I’d definitely recommend doing some research on this one if you haven’t played an Octopath Traveler game before, but I’m very intrigued and will be starting my adventure on the 4th of December when Octopath Traveler 0 launches on PC, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 1 & 2!

Log Away
Cozy cabin building sim, Log Away is launching on Steam next month!
Bundle up this winter and stay indoors designing your own relaxing cabin In Log Away. Choose the location, layout, and how you decorate your cabin both inside and out. Manipulate the weather and seasons to see your cabin in every situation and decorate with new items you unlock over time.
Log Away is launching on PC on the 4th of December.

Milano's Odd Job Collection
PC (Steam) | GOG | PlayStation | Xbox | Switch
Announced during Wholesome Direct earlier this year, in Milano's Odd Job Collection you play as an 11-year old taking on part-time jobs for the Summer to fill her time. From delivering pizzas, baking cakes, or milking flying cows, Milano will take on any challenge to make her Summer unforgettable! And if she spends all her money on decorating her uncle’s house, then that’s okay too.
Previously only available in Japan, Milano's Odd Job Collection is finally expanding worldwide for the first time. It’ll be available on the 9th of December on PC, PlayStation, Xbox & Switch.

Anxiety Puppy
Anxiety Puppy is an interactive visual novel that tells the story of a young girl in a bustling city, who is struggling with the increasing pressures of life and work. Every day seems exactly the same as she juggles studying, job hunting, and working until she eventually snaps.
On one sleepless night, her anxiety spirals out of control and she finds herself in a strange world where her anxiety is personified as a little puppy. Follow along on this journey of self-discovery and healing, where the main character could be any one of us…
Anxiety Puppy will be launching on the 9th of December on PC!

A Game About Digging A Hole
PC | PlayStation | Xbox | Switch
After a super successful launch on PC earlier this year, the developers are bringing A Game About Digging a Hole to consoles next month!
You’ve just bought a new house and decided to dig up the garden to see what you might find down there and the answer is a lot.
From your generic stone, coal and other ores, to something more exciting like a briefcase full of cash, A Game About Digging A Hole is full of surprises and there’s definitely a big surprise waiting for you if you dig deep enough...
A Game About Digging A Hole will be available on Xbox Series X|S , PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch, including Game Pass on December 9th!

Little Rocket Lab
This next game attempts to make factory automation games cozy and challenges you to build a rocket in your backyard!
If you haven’t seen it yet, this is Little Rocket Lab and it’s trying to put a new twist on the typical life sim genre. Your family's dream project is to build a rocket ship, but the path isn’t easy and you’ll find yourself caught up in a story with a few different avenues to explore.
Your town is in disrepair and needs rebuilding and the villagers will need your help to put your sleepy town back on the map. Between researching and inventing new machines, building factories, and solving your town’s problems you’ll have your work cut out for you. I already played this game when it launched on PC and Xbox back last month, but it’ll be launching on Nintendo Switch on the 10th of December!

Cozyrama
The world of Cozyrama is yours to create as you build a beautiful world in your own image. With no pressure, stress, or competition, start with a blank canvas and create a beautiful garden, a castle, a woodland, park, farm, festival, or whatever you want.
This game is so customisable with different biomes, creatures, and decorations to experiment with or you can play the story mode with prepared tiny worlds to guide your creations. Cozyrama will be launching on the 10th of December on PC.

PancitoMerge
It’s been a while since I’ve seen a new entry in the Suika Game-genre and this one looks just cute enough for me to mention it!
PancitoMerge is a charming puzzle game, where you run a bakery. Merge together delicious Mexican delicacies to bake dishes for your customers and there are a range of cute customers to meet, including animals like a dog and an axolotl.
This game looks delightful - I love the artstyle and I know I’ll get addicted to the gameplay if I play it when PanctioMerge launches on the 10th of December on PC.

NEW: Whelm
Whelm is about a young penguin, washed up on a mysterious island. Once a thriving sanctuary, it has fallen into disrepair. Rescue animals, tidy up the island and repair machines.
This game is about exploration and experimentation and it'll be launching on the 10th of December on PC in Early Access. Although you may want to hold off until the first major update in January as it seems like there won't be any save files when the game first launches.

Everdream Village
From the creators of Everdream Valley comes a brand new adventure called Everdream Village, that looks set to fix all of the issues I had with the previous one.
Designed as a sandbox game, Everdream Village can be played the way you want, whether that’s farming, helping villagers, growing crops, catching fish, finding romance, or exploring the many islands that make up this beautiful world. And you can decorate to your heart’s content as well with terraforming and secrets to uncover!
Everdream Village is launching on PC in Early Access on the 12th of December.

Alchemy Factory
Next up is another automation game. I feel like there is a sudden increase in cozy automation games and I’m not sure where it’s coming from - but in Alchemy Factory you’re an alchemist trying to find a more efficient way to make your goods.
Build production lines to automate herb grinding, essence extraction, and distillation to make brewing potions, and crafting your other wares easier than ever before.
And you can even play with your friends when Alchemy Factory launches into Early Access on PC on the 12th of December.

Ooble Gardens
Unsurprisingly, Ooble Gardens reminds me a lot of Ooblets but it seems to be more focused on decorating.
In Ooble Garden, you’re caring for and growing cute Ooobles in a giant plant pot! Over time they’ll collect materials for you, which you can merge together to create furniture to decorate your garden. If you’re looking for a decorating game with a little bit more to it, then you may like Ooble Gardens, which is launching on PC on the 16th of December.

LetDeco
Step into a soft pastel-coloured world in LetDeco, an exploration and decorating game, where you play as a cute doll. Head out into the world around you to collect materials that you can use to craft decorations for your home, as well as the areas around it.
There also seems to be obstacles to complete along the way with various minigames popping up in the trailer as well as a town to explore. LetDeco is launching on the 17th of December on PC.
And that’s it! December is really quiet, but I’m going to be starting a 30 games in 30 days challenge to revisit my backlog! More on that in this post and let me know if I’ve missed any December releases or which one you’re looking forward to the most in the comments.
