Cozy Creature Collector Moonstone Island Adds Evolutions in Free Update!

Moonstone Island is the gift that keeps on giving because they've just released another huge and free update, this time to add evolutions to the game!

What is Moonstone Island?

In case you haven't heard of it before, Moonstone Island is an adorable creature collecting life sim that was first released on the 23rd of September on PC.

In it you play as a budding alchemist, but to alchemist. To complete your training, you need to head out into the real world. There you'll find an archipelago of floating islands waiting for you to explore them.

Capture and tame spirits to come on your adventures with you, and collect ingredients to brew magical potions or tasty dishes to woo the islanders. There's a lot to love about this cute pixel art farming sim and they've just added a second update with even more content.

Since its launch, Moonstone Island has had several major updates, including the free Valentine's Update on February 13th 2024, the Cooking update on July 31st 2024 and the free Festival update on September 30th 2024, with many paid DLCs for extra cosmetics. And that's not all as there appear to be further updates planned throughout 2025!

But, what is the Moonstone Island Evolutions Update?

In this free update that's already available, players will be able to evolve their Spirits to reveal brand new ones!

These Spirits won't just look visually different, but they also come with special new abilities, as well as being stronger and more powerful.

How do you evolve your Spirit in Moonstone Island?

Well, that's easy! Once your Spirit reaches level 32 an "evo meter" will unlock and you'll need to achieve 1000 evo points per Spirit. Evo points are collected by winning battles using that Spirit's card and when they're ready to evolve you need to find an Evo Stone from one of the psychic islands.

Every Evolved Spirit gains a new ability, a new elemental time, and the ability to choose from 4 cards instead of 3 when levelling up.

This is such a cool new update from the developers behind Moonstone Island and personally I cannot wait to see what Fishbo evolves into...
