Honestly Reviewing 6 Games I Played ✨ Two Point Museum, Ship Inc., 30 Birds, Dogpile, Cozy Organizer, Bang Bang Barrage

Hi everyone! Ari here for the first time ever with a review post talking about a few of the games I've been playing recently. I'm always very honest with my reviews, even if the games are gifted to me, so you can always trust that I mean exactly what I say.

For each game, I tell you the platforms you can find the games on, the normal price on Steam in Canadian Dollars (since I'm Canadian), the lowest price its been, the release date, hours of gameplay, and price per hour (I know a low amount doesn't always mean the game is worth it.

Here's the video if you're interested:

Two Point Museum

Normal Price (Steam): CDN$39.99

Lowest Price (Steam): CDN$30.38

Release Date: 4 Mar, 2025

Hours of Gameplay: 73½ hours

Price per hour: $0.54/ hour

Summary: Two Point Museum is a quirky management sim where you design and run imaginative museums across Two Point County, from prehistoric and aquarium exhibits to supernatural, science, and space-themed locations. As curator, you send experts on expeditions to discover hundreds of unique exhibits, then creatively display them to generate buzz, attract guests, and unlock new museums.

You’ll balance creative freedom with strategy by decorating themed layouts, managing staff, maintaining exhibits, and catering to different guest types—while keeping kids and thieves away from your prized collections. With sandbox and challenge modes included, the game offers a cozy yet chaotic take on building the perfect museum.

Pros: A LOT of gameplay to be had. There are so many museums to unlock, all with different themes, and up to 6 curator stars for each museum. All of it is filled with not only quests to keep you entertained, but a lot of plot to go along with it - in the typical Two Point whimsical way. It keeps you entertained and makes you feel accomplished and not bored the entire time.

The commentary in the background of the game - with the museum announcements and radio programming is hilarious, and you’re constantly wanting to hear more.

The themes are really fun, especially since they all come with different types of gameplay - DND style for fantasy, a digital world, finding materials for science, and dealing with aliens. They’re all different and very fun.

Zooseum is super cute - though I wish they’d make a Two Point Zoo game with real animals.

Cons: No controls for copy and paste, or being able to drag a lot of objects at once. Makes building very tedious as if you want to move one thing you need to move everything one by one if they’re not in a specific room.

Not being able to put more doors in specific rooms so staff can go in and out easily.

No way to undo what you just did, so you have to scroll though the whole menu again to put one tile down you accidentally deleted.

Really hard to match the tiles to tiles you already placed down as they’re really similar - eyedropper tool would be great for this.

Steam Deck?: As good as it possibly could be. Hard without a mouse but you can zoom in a lot to pick up exactly what you want.

Achievements: Not too difficult or grindy if you’re naturally playing the game, but it’ll take some time (90 hours)

Rating: 9.5/10

Bang Bang Barrage

Normal Price (Steam): CDN$ 10.49

Lowest Price (Steam): CDN$ 9.44

Release Date: 7 Aug, 2025

Hours of Gameplay: 10½ hours

Price per hour: $1.00/ hour

Summary: Bang Bang Barrage is a fast-paced survival shooter where nonstop action and chaos collide. After awakening an unspeakable horror, you’re surrounded by endless enemy hordes and must shoot to survive—using weapon recoil as both an attack and a way to dodge danger. As your power grows, reality becomes increasingly unstable, blurring the line between hallucination and threat.

With unpredictable visuals, quirky survival rules, co-op allies, and bizarre encounters (yes, even Cthulhu), the game leans fully into stylish madness. It’s a frantic, surreal experience where quick reactions, adaptability, and a bit of luck are the only way out.

Pros: Can get a lot of kisses from your friends when they revive you — without it being weird.

Really fun and different physics gameplay, with most of the difficulty being how the boat moves as you shoot your gun.

A lot of different levels, outfits, characters, bosses, and enemies to keep the game fun.

Different leaderboards for the amount of players to keep you coming back to try to keep getting higher scores.

Super cute and really fun to play with friends.

Only one person needs to play the game with remote share.

Cons: Might be too much going on on the screen for people.

More difficult with a controller than mouse and keyboard.

Steam Deck?: A bit harder to play the game on the controller for aiming but still do-able. Almost perfect.

Achievements: Really difficult, almost impossible unless you’re really good at the game.

Ship, Inc.

Normal Price (Steam): CDN$ 12.99

Lowest Price (Steam): CDN$ 6.49

Release Date: 23 Jun, 2025

Hours of Gameplay: 7½ Hours

Price per hour: $1.73

Summary: Ship, Inc. is a cozy time-management game where you work as a packaging employee in a busy shipping company. Your task is to sort, pack, and ship orders correctly by choosing the right box sizes, carefully arranging items, and meeting customer demands without damaging fragile goods.

As orders become more complex, you’ll need to balance speed and accuracy while upgrading your workspace with better tools and storage. With multiple difficulty modes—from a relaxed, no-pressure chill mode to the intense rush hour m ode—Ship, Inc. offers a wholesome yet challenging experience for players.

Pros: The objects in the game are super cute and varied, from video games that pretend to be real games to random fantasy items.

A few little added parts of the game such as selling items in the black market, playing a bubble wrap game, buying vending machine drinks, and a law office and bank.

Satisfying gameplay loop that you can play while doing something else.

Cons: The box mechanic makes no sense, and makes you really frustrated while doing it. Items fit in the box SOMETIMES and not other times. It’s the main point of the game, so it doesn’t make sense why they didn’t bother fixing this.

You unlock things very quickly in the game and then it becomes a slow grind to get to 100k to finish the game.

Didn’t know about unlocking things in the tablet until way later in the game because it was never explained.

The speed packing mechanic makes it really stressful every single time, especially since the time they give you is so short.

Steam Deck?: Absolutely impossible and somewhat frustrating.

Achievements: Very grindy but no skill involved, will take a few more hours of gameplay.

Dogpile

Normal Price (Steam): CDN$ 12.99

Lowest Price (Steam): CDN$ 9.09

Release Date: 10 Dec, 2025

Hours of Gameplay: Endless

Price per hour: N/A

Summary: Dogpile is a cute, strategic merge-and-deckbuilding game where combining two identical dogs creates a bigger, better pup. By carefully placing dogs, managing clutter, and making smart upgrades, you’ll build the ultimate canine-filled deck and aim for the biggest dogs possible. A combination of Suika and Balatro.

Each dog comes with quirky traits like Barky, Sleepy, or Cool, which can be enhanced through washes and boosted with Dog Tags that create powerful synergies. With playful charm and satisfying strategy, Dogpile is all about smart merges, clever combos, and—most importantly—BIGGER dogs.

Pros: Absolutely perfect roguelike gameplay similar to Binding of Isaac, My Card is Better than your Card, and Balatro.

The point of the game is to try to break it with the combos that you create, and the game is the perfect medium for that— merging the dogs is just a medium to do this and break the game.

Merging the dogs is really satisfying, and the dogs are all really cute.

Game has whimsy to it, you can see this with the trailer and the tutorial.

Lots of different modes that increase in challenge that make you want to keep going back.

A great game to play while watching TV/ doing something else.

Cons: A lot of bugs at first (the developers are slowly fixing this). Some were game breaking which makes it really frustrating, especially when you had a good run going.

May feel a little repetitive to some people if they’re not interested in creating combos over and over.

Steam Deck?: Perfect

Achievements: A few are more difficult (the last few), but do-able if you keep playing.

30 Birds

Normal Price (Steam): CDN$ 23.49

Lowest Price (Steam): CDN$ 14.09

Release Date: 27 Nov, 2024

Hours of Gameplay: 6 Hours

Price per hour: $3.91

Summary: 30 Birds is a narrative puzzle adventure where you play as Zig, a young detective exploring the vibrant Lantern City to rescue the kidnapped bird goddess Simurgh. Alongside Hoop, a stand-up–comedian hoopoe, you’ll meet quirky characters, collect thirty talkative birds, and unravel the schemes of the eccentric Scientist through clever puzzles and story-driven challenges.

Blending 2D and 3D visuals inspired by Persian miniatures, the game unfolds across rotating lantern worlds filled with Middle Eastern–inspired myth, humor, and charm. With its hand-drawn art, lively ska–dub–reggae soundtrack, and relaxed exploration through cafés, music-making, and mini-games, 30 Birds delivers a colorful, cozy mystery full of personality and style.

Pros: The art style is one of the most beautiful styles I’ve ever seen. The moving lanterns mechanic in the 3D world is stunning, and the character drawings are amazing. The game is worth it for seeing the style come to life.

The dialogue is hilarious and gives a great indie flare.

The Middle Eastern mythology throughout the game as well as the culture involved is really fascinating and makes you want to learn more.

Tons of little puzzles throughout that aren’t too difficult to play.

Cons: Hard to figure out what you’re supposed to do next at times. The map is pretty big with a few lanterns you can explore and it's pretty vague where you’re supposed to find the next bird (as well as no guide on the internet you can easily google).

Had a HUGE bug where almost all the cutscenes had SMPTE color bars across the screen instead of the actual cut scene and I had to search up a video of gameplay to actually see the cutscenes.

A few other mini bugs that have not been fixed.

Steam Deck?: Works great except for the color bars bug which might be associated.

Achievements: Really really difficult, especially since there are no guides out there. Only got 14/30.

Rating: 7.5/10 (have to reduce a lot of points for the bug)

Cozy Organizer

PC

Normal Price (Steam): CDN$ 10.49

Lowest Price (Steam): CDN$ 6.29

Release Date: 13 Sep, 2025

Hours of Gameplay: 2 hours

Price per hour: $5.25

Summary: Cozy Organizer is a relaxing sandbox game inspired by satisfying organizing videos, where you sort, stack, decorate, and align items to create perfectly cozy spaces. From pantries and closets to living rooms and shelves, the game offers endless customization with colorful visuals and charming, quirky items.

With a soothing soundtrack, low-pressure challenges, and an endlessly replayable sandbox mode, Cozy Organizer is all about calm, creativity, and the simple joy of turning clutter into comforting order, with no timers or stress.

Pros: Satisfying gameplay if you like sorting stuff (ex. Putting buttons in order by color and size).

A few different types of gameplay to keep it entertaining, such as puzzles, fitting things in boxes and containers, and unpacking objects.

The graphics are super cute and the classic style from the developers.

Cons: Repeated use of the same assets to make the different levels (this happens a lot!)

The story itself is non-existent and disappears after a few sortings.

Some of the sorting is just doing a puzzle rather than a creative sorting game.

Not worth $10 for just two hours of basic gameplay.

Steam Deck?: Very difficult, almost impossible due to having to use the touch screen or mouse.

Achievements: Very easy, just finish all the levels.

Rating: 5/10
